Singer and actress Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, aka Cassie, is having a helluva year. The 33-year-old, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Alex Fine, celebrated her birthday on Monday by sharing somewhat risqué photos of her baby bump on Instagram.
Posing nude on a rock near the ocean, Cassie manages to keep her pics Instagram-friendly by staying strategically covered up. The pop star didn’t caption the first post, but cheekily wrote, “Birthday Suit” under the second one.
Cassie, who broke up with ex Sean “Diddy” Combs last year, announced she was pregnant with her first child, a baby girl, this past June. She began dating Fine, a bull-rider/fitness trainer, a few months after splitting from Combs. The pair posted a slideshow on Instagram to celebrate the singer’s pregnancy, writing, “Can’t wait to meet our baby girl 💗Love You Always & Forever.”
In a separate post, Fine, 26, shared a sweet letter he wrote to their future daughter. “I will be the first man in your life and will show you the greatest love and affection now and forever,” he wrote under a picture in which he’s seen giving Cassie a piggyback ride.
Aside from bull riding, Fine is a personal trainer for several Riverdale stars. According to his bio, he is former D1 Athlete who loves to design and implement exercise regimens for all age groups. He has worked as a trainer for more than 100 professional athletes and celebrities and has been featured in Men’s Journal, Men's Health, Yahoo Health, The Manual, Vanity Fair, and even INSIDER's Celeb Trained Snapchat Spotlights.
Fine proposed to Cassie just yesterday. The couple shared their good news on Instagram. They had been dating for less than a year before getting engaged. Cassie ended her twelve-year relationship with Combs after sensing that they were going nowhere, according to sources.
Cassie and Diddy remain on good terms though, and the rap mogul congratulated the couple after they announced the pregnancy. “Congratulations @Cassie and Alex. I wish you all nothing but love and happiness,” Combs wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Cassie cuddling Fine. “God bless ❤️❤️❤️L O V E.”
Combs has three sons — Quincy, 28, Christian Casey, 21, and Justin Dior, 25 — and three daughters — Chance, 13, D’Lila Star and Jessie James, both 12 — from previous relationships.

Cassie will soon be seen in Wonderland, an upcoming Netflix film directed by Peter Berg, in which she will co-star alongside Mark Wahlberg, Winston Duke, Post Malone, Alan Arkin and Iliza Shlesinger. The film was shot late last year in New York City, Boston, Los Angeles and New Orleans.
