Soccer players Alex Morgan (a USWNT star) and her husband Servando Carrasco (LA Galaxy) announced that they are soon going to add a new member to their family.

Morgan is pregnant for the first time, and it's a girl they are expecting in April, just three months apart from the 2020 Olympics. Alex said this is the best world cup gift for her. The rumours are swirling around whether this baby was conceived at the end of July or mid-August, which would've been just around the time Alex won the World Cup in France. Alex Partly agreed with this by stating the baby is a part of the celebration.

The mom-to-be wrote on Instagram, saying,"We are already in love and we haven't even met her yet. Newest member of the Carrasco family, coming soon.” And the dad-to-be, on his Instagram, said: "Can't wait to meet my baby girl.”

The photoshoot through which they revealed this news was shot in a relaxed setting on a beach. Their two pets were also a part of the shoot. Each snap had messages displayed to unravel their story in a beautiful manner - the cutest being the couple clasping their hands and holding a cute little pair of Nike shoes.

Servando was holding a white placard in the shape of onesie reading "Ready or Not," while Alex had a rectangular black card reading "Baby Girl April 2020". He was wearing a white T-shirt with black pants, and she was in a light pink striped dress. And in the photo, their pets carried signs reading  "Baby human coming April 2020" and "I didn't sign up for this," showing how close the pets are in the family.

While representing their soccer teams, the couple have been seeing each other since their college days. They married on December 31, 2014, and recently announced Alex's pregnancy on Twitter and Instagram on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

The couple, who are already parents to their two pet dogs, currently live in California and Florida, making their marriage a long-distance one. However, they know that they need to make the most of these fruitful years, since their career may not last longer than 5 to 6 years.

Alex was a part of the gold-winning team of the World Cup in France, meaning she could have been one of the 18 out of 23 members who may go to the Olympics. But her chances may be dampened by this development. Though USWNT players do have the benefit of earning their spot back after becoming a mom, it is still a million-dollar question if she will be able to make it to the 2020 Olympics, which is one of her dreams. However, she would definitely make the most of the 2023 Olympics.
