On December 10, 2019, Steph and Ayesha Curry showed off their new tattoos on each of their Instagram pages. They both got matching tattoos on one of their calves, both featuring a geometric-style unicorn, wolf and butterfly.
On her Instagram page, Ayesha explained that each of the symbols represents one of their three children. In her post, Ayesha stated that son Canon is represented by the wolf, Ryan is the butterfly, and their oldest, Riley, is symbolized by the unicorn because she is the magical firstborn child and free-spirited. Riley is now 7, Ryan is 4 and Canon is 1-year old. She also thanked the tattoo parlour where the inking was done, Winter Stone.
In the world of NBA basketball, they all certainly appear to be the cutest family on the court. Mom Ayesha and Grandma and Grandpa are often seen at Steph’s games caring for the kids while dad competes on the court.
Stephen Curry comes from a high-achieving basketball family. His dad, Dell Curry, played in the NBA from 1986 to 2002 and retired from the Charlotte Hornets. He is their all-time leader in points at 9,839 and three-point field goals with 929. Steph’s older brother is Seth Curry who plays in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks. Steph himself came out of college basketball playing for the Davidson Wildcats and was drafted by the Golden State Warriors of California on June 25, 2009. Since going to the Golden State Warriors, Steph has been named NBA Most Valuable Player twice, is a six-time NBA All-Star, and won three NBA championships.
Ayesha and Steph were married on July 30, 2011. They originally met in a youth church group in Charlotte, North Carolina, when they were only 14 and 15. They met again in Hollywood when Stephan visited for an awards show and Ayesha was working on her acting career and they started dating.
Ayesha has appeared in several TV shows and movies and after her marriage, she started a YouTube channel about cooking. She published a cookbook titled The Seasoned Life. She also runs a company named Little Lights of Mine where 10% off all the proceeds from the sale of their extra virgin olive oil goes to No Kid Hungry charity. Right now they live in Alamo, California.
The couple obviously doesn’t mind sharing some of their home life with fans on their Instagram pages. Toward the end of November, Ayesha posted a heart-warming photo of the entire family, trusty canine Reza included, all leaning in to smother baby Canon with kisses.
Currently, Stephen is sidelined from playing basketball as he suffered a broken hand just before Halloween. He recently had a scheduled second surgery to remove some of the pins that had been put in place during the first surgery. He says that he intends to back on the court come spring. Until then, it looks like he gets to have some quality off time to spend with his lovely wife and three great kids that are now immortalized on mom and dad’s calves.
