If you have been following Teddi Mellecamp's pregnancy you probably know that she has had a lot of drama with picking her daughter's name. It seemed that her family could not come up with a name for her and so Mellencamp actually asked on Instagram for help from her followers. She presented four names and wanted help to choose. Her name choices were Presley, Shay, Selena, and Dove.
Teddi Mellencamp and her husband Edwin Arroyave welcomed their perfect and wonderful daughter on February 25, 2020, at 5:59pm. She was 19.5 inches, 6lbs 8oz. She decided upon the name Dove Mellencamp Arroyave. Dove is such a sweet name and we are so happy for them and their new addition.
Mellencamp's son, Cruz, 5, was a bit upset that he was going to have a little sister. He really wanted to have a boy because he wanted a brother. He kept asking his parents for a little brother, but Teddi and Edwin had struggled getting pregnant. She wasn't sure that she was ever going to give him a little brother or a sister. Little does Cruz know that he won't care about the gender of this sweet baby. He will love the baby so much! He was also a bit upset that his parents wouldn't let him choose the name of the baby. He wanted to name her "catboy" and for some reason Teddi and Edwin wouldn't go for that name.
We are so excited for the couple and we hope that baby is healthy and grows big and strong. We hope that Teddi continues to keep us updated about the baby. We also hope that she is able to recover nicely from giving birth. And we hope that we can see her baby placed in the amazing nursery she created for her a few weeks ago. On January 15, she revealed her adorable baby room!
