It was a dramatic week for Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant fans as they witnessed mom-of-one Briana Jaramillo get in contact with her son Braeson’s father.
Brianna Jaramillo’s storyline on Teen Mom: Y&P often revolves around her son’s disability (Braeson was born with one arm) and the fact that his mother was unsure who his father was. But in the most recent episode of the MTV reality show, not only did Brianna confirm via DNA test her son’s paternity, but also got in contact with his dad.
Two weeks ago, during the November 12th episode, Brianna revealed to the camera that she was contacted by an old high school friend over social media who believed they could be Braeson’s dad because of their similarities. Bri admitted to her mom she didn’t think her former friend was the dad, which is why she never reached out to him. But the young mom agreed to a paternity test. The friend (who has a daughter with his current girlfriend) also said that he wants to be in Braeson’s life if the test was positive.
Fast forward to this week’s episode. Brianna told the camera that the test did, indeed, confirmed her ex was the father, much to her surprise. But things took a turn for the dramatic when she tried telling the dad. Despite saying he wanted to be involved in the toddler’s life, Bri’s former friend began ignoring her messages and calls.
Rather than him replying directly, Brianna revealed his girlfriend got in contact with her. Despite the GF seeming supportive at first (the dad said she was the one who encouraged him to get a DNA test), she told Bri to leave her family alone. She said they’d be willing to send money to help with Braeson’s expenses, but that they didn’t want to be in his life any further. The girlfriend ended her text by saying Brianna needs to leave them alone or things will start happening to her. Yikes!
It remains to be seen how Brianna will handle this baby daddy drama. Prior to this, Brianna made it clear she was fine raising her son on her own and didn’t expect his father to contribute. So, perhaps she won’t have any trouble taking his GF’s advice. Viewers will have to tune into next week’s Teen Mom: Y&P to find out what happens next.
