The drama never stops for the Teen Mom stars, as newcomer Mackenzie McKee has announced she’s taking a break from her marriage amidst her husband’s cheating allegations.
Mackenzie first gained fame for appearing on 16 and Pregnant with her then-boyfriend Josh McKee. The two welcomed their son Gannon as teenagers but later went on to get married and welcome two more kids, daughter Jaxie and son Broncs. The McKees were briefly a part of MTV’s short-lived Teen Mom 3. But more recently, Mackenzie was invited to star in the latest season of Teen Mom OG following Farrah Abraham’s firing.
MTV sure picked a good time to follow Mackenzie’s story again, as there’s more drama than ever in the fitness guru’s life. Just last week, a Teen Mom episode aired that showed Mackenzie wondering if her husband had been unfaithful while travelling for a rodeo gig.
Since the episode aired, however, two women have come forward claiming they witness Josh stepping out on his wife, which has led Mackenzie to announce she’s putting her marriage on hiatus.
The two unidentified women gave an interview to OK! Magazine in which they stated they witnessed Mackenzie’s man getting close to a mystery blonde at a Texas bar in April. “My friend and I saw Josh McKee and another guy walk in the bar,” one of the women told the publication, adding the two seemed like they knew each other.
“They walked over and joined a group of about five or six girls,” she continued. “Within a matter of minutes, he started talking with a girl with long blonde hair. They started making out and kept on kissing. Like, couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They left the bar hand in hand.” The source said she decided to come forward to the media after seeing Mackenzie question whether her husband was unfaithful on Teen Mom.
Despite the claims, Mackenzie has denied that her husband was unfaithful. “I know the two girls who called in,” she told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup in a statement. “I have already been through all of this, talked to everyone there along with their husbands.” She continued, “Tell the two girls nice try! I had already gotten to the bottom of this months ago. This is insane.”
Nevertheless, after her interview, Mackenzie revealed on social media that she’s decided to take time off from her marriage. “I would like to say, that due to stress, me needing to stay focused, the media, etc. I am deciding my marriage needs a break,” she wrote on Twitter. “My heart breaks for my kids. But as of right now, this is what’s best. Thank you.”
Mackenzie has since posted to social media without her wedding ring. In one Instagram photo, which has since been deleted, the reality star described herself as ‘single.’ “Freshly single and ready to, be the boss babe that I am and let God lead me to what i deserve edit:this is an old photo so my ring is on,” she captioned the picture.
There is no word on whether Mackenzie and Josh are considering divorce. Nonetheless, we’re sure we’ll see all of this drama play out on Teen Mom, so stay tuned.
