40-year-old actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict recently openly discussed her modern parenting style of her two children.
If any person has their hands full, it's safe to say that Mowry-Hardrict is a safe bet for winning that race. The mama of two, son Cree Taylor, 8 and daughter Cairo Tiahna, just 14 months, is set to play "Cocoa," a character who is a busy mom much like herself in the new Netflix series called "Family Reunion."
According to an interview that Mowry-Hardrict gave to People, she stated that her husband, Cory Hardrict also cares for their two children.
“He’s washing dishes. He’s giving my daughter and my children a bath and I’m also taking out the trash,” Mowry-Hardrict said.
But the actress was quick to point out that her husband does not "babysit" their children bur rather takes care of their children and does his job as a father would/should. She also talked about the roles that society places on traditional gender roles in relationships such as the standards that society can place and sometimes pressure on women to do such things as cook, clean and take care of children full time.
“I don’t feel like men get asked that question about how do you balance life,” the actress said in an interview.
She hasn't been one to shy away from sharing her views on parenting openly from the very beginning with Cree. More recently, in October, Mowry-Hardrict posted a photo of herself on social media breastfeeding Cairo with "This is Love" as the caption. She recently stated in a video that she teaches her children about racism because it is still around. She says she wouldn't feel right about not being open and honest with them if she didn't discuss racism with them since it is their culture, too.
