A little boy died at an airport in North Carolina after falling near a baggage claim. We are truly sorry for this devastating loss.
On Wednesday, September 25 at around 9 p.m. Jaiden Cowart, 3, died in a tragic accident in North Carolina at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said that the toddler fell near an escalator by the baggage claim area. When the little boy fell he was immediately taken to the hospital and he had "life-threatening injuries" according to the medical staff at Atrium Health’s Levine Children’s Hospital. The little boy was not able to recover from his injuries and he passed away three days later.
The medical examiner said that the child died from “blunt force injuries due to a fall from a height." The examiner said that the death was an accident. The investigators are trying to figure out how the little boy fell and they are trying to figure out why he fell. They aren't sure the exact reason for the accidental fall. Jaiden’s family launched a GoFundMe in hopes of providing funds to cover the toddler’s funeral arrangements and medical expenses.
Jaiden’s family described him as being an “energetic, loving and playful 3-year-old with a witty sense of humor and an appetite for fun and adventure." The family shared on the page that the little boy loved watching Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, and PJ Masks. The poor family said that their little boy's life has been cut short for a tragic accident. They are still in shock by the whole ordeal and they can't believe what happened to the sweet little boy.
Our thoughts go out to the family. We are so sorry that the family has had to deal with such a traumatic death. There are no words that can bring this family comfort and our hearts are completely broken and are aching for the family. We hope that this family gets some peace in their time of struggle. Please help out with their funeral arrangements if you can.
