Little People, Big World star, Zach Roloff, and his wife Tori Roloff are currently awaiting the arrival of their second child (a baby girl!). Posting on her Instagram story on November 14th, Tori revealed that she's experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions but for fans not to get too excited. After all, she's been getting them since 16 weeks.

Braxton Hicks are 'pretend' contractions. Although very real feeling, they are your body's way of preparing for the actual upcoming labour. Many women describe the feeling as a tightening feeling in their stomach surrounding the baby (almost as if the baby is getting a big squeeze). Depending on your stage of pregnancy, Braxton Hicks can be uncomfortable and can even take your breath away for a moment but they shouldn't be painful.

The practice contractions typically start after 20-weeks pregnant but some women, Tori Roloff included, they report feeling them weeks sooner. With subsequent pregnancies, Braxton Hicks can increase in intensity, which Tori can attest to when she shared how uncomfortable it is to sneeze during one.

The baby girl, who sources report is due this month, will soon be joining her older brother Jackson, 2, and the trio couldn't be more excited to meet her. With her body gearing up for labour, Tori admits that this pregnancy has been much harder on her self-esteem than her last one.

Tori shares, "I've gotten bigger a lot faster than I did with Jackson and I've become a lot more insecure. ... Hearing people ask me if I'm sure it's not twins definitely does not help (for all our sakes, don't ever ask a woman this question. Like ever.)" Despite the mental struggle that this pregnancy has brought on, Tori tries to stay positive and thankful for the gift of life she has received.

"It's been hard to really enjoy this pregnancy because I've let my own body image issues get in the way," the pregnant star admits. "Us as women are so badass. Like we can grow babies. And I know I need to give this up to God right and be thankful for this gift, and I'm trying trust me."

As far as her Braxton Hicks go, it could be a good sign that the newest baby Roloff will be making her entrance into the world shortly. It's important for any pregnant woman to be able to tell the difference between practice Braxton Hicks contractions and real labour contractions, so be sure to learn more about them.
