Tristan Thompson’s son just turned 3 and his dad is ecstatic.
“I remember holding you when you were born and telling you how amazing of a baby you are,” Tristan wrote to his adorable son with ex, Jordan Craig online. Both parents celebrated the young Thompson’s birthday with the absolute sweetest and heartfelt honorary Instagram posts. Tristan, 28, posted a cute picture of son, Prince Oliver, holding a red balloon and beaming with a happy grin from cheek to cheek.
In the touching Instagram post, Thompson relived his very first moments with his son. He also reminisced on how it felt watching son grow, emphasizing his admiration for how caring and loving his firstborn is. “Every day you continue to surprise me with your development, your love and your big heart,” chimed the Cleveland Cavaliers player. “I thank God every day for picking me to be your father.”
Jordan Craig’s post was just as sweet and captured one of the most loving mother-son moments. Craig’s son has been featured many times on her Instagram account, but this triple photoshoot definitely iced the cake. All three photos are set in a beautiful warm blue theme on rocks in a swimming pool and hashtagged “#THREEtoday” surrounded by blue hearts. The first in the set is a beautiful photo of mom and son sharing a kiss, followed by Craig carrying her baby boy in a warm embrace, and ends with the two striking a cool pose. All the while Prince holds on tightly to his huge number 3 balloon and flashes smiles.
Prince is the only child of Tristan and Jordan, but he shares his father with True Thompson, Thompson’s 20-month-old daughter with ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian. Khloe and Tristan got together after his split from Jordan Craig and had a very public relationship. References were constantly made to their relationship and the Cavaliers forward on the Kardashian’s hit reality TV series Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Their relationship was turbulent and every detail about rumors and pictures surrounding Tristan’s constant infidelity was followed by the thousands of fans who tuned in to watch. Naturally when Khloe finally decided to call it quits with the baller, after reports of Tristan cheating with then close family friend, Jordyn Woods, many fans supported her. They welcomed their beautiful baby girl, True, in April 2018.
Since then Thompson and Kardashian have managed to remain cordial and work together to raise their daughter. However, a source told PEOPLE that, despite the friendly relationship, the couple remains romantically separated.
“Who knows what will happen in the future though,” added the source. “Right now she is focused on just getting along with him so they can have the best family time together with True.”
It looks like Tristan is being quite the father figure in both of his kids’ lives despite the unpleasant endings to both relationships. We are looking forward to many more adorable pics of Prince and True.
