Identical twins in Fresno, California gave birth to their baby girls on the exact same day.
The Yang sisters got pregnant around the same time. They were very excited to be able to go through pregnancy together. It was their dream to be able to be pregnant at the same time and it was finally happening. They were even more excited when they figured out that they were both pregnant with little baby girls. They thought they were going to be able to enjoy all of the pregnancy joys together, but they had no idea that they were going to be able to go through labor and recovery together too. Bao Kou Julie Yang started feeling like she was in labor. She was feeling a lot of pains and started feeling contractions. Bao Kou called her sister and told her that she was in labor. Bao's sister mentioned that she was feeling pains too, but she wasn't certain that it was labor.
It turns out that both of the women were indeed in labor at the same exact time. The 23-year old women delivered their babies only one hour apart at a hospital in Fresno. Both of the little girls came in at about seven pounds. The Yang sisters are so excited to have daughters who have the same birthday just like them. Although the new little babies are cousins they will be raised more like sisters.
One of the nurses at the Fresno hospital, Laura Schleicher, said that everything was completely natural. She said that the women went into labor completely natural and that they let their bodies progress as they were supposed to. Schleicher said that all she did was deliver the girls. She didn't facilitate or make it happen in any way. The babies obviously just had really great timing and clearly, the little girls wanted to share a birthday.
It is so awesome that the new baby girls are able to have the same birthday as their mothers. It will be interesting to see how much the little girls look like as they grow up. All we know is that they are going to be the best of friends! We want to wish you women with the best of luck raising your sweet little baby girls and we hope for a lifetime of health and happiness.
