Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan is gearing up to welcome her first child, and the actress celebrated her impending arrival with a beautiful maternity photoshoot.

Vanessa shared images from the intimate shoot on her Instagram, expressing her excitement over becoming a first-time mom. In one image, Vanessa was sans clothes except for a black lace cardigan draped delicately over her shoulders. She shouted out her photographer and beauty team in the comments and also added a sentence showing off how proud she was of her body during her pregnancy, writing, “I’ve never been more in love with my body for being able to grow & bring life into this world.”

In a second post, the starlet wore a blue tulle dress that sat draped on her shoulders and showed off her growing bump. “Growing you, grew me,” she wrote. Vanessa uploaded a third and final post, which featured multiple photos, this time showing the celebrity dawning a sheer white dress in several pictures and a white lace cardigan in another. Vanessa paid tribute to women, in general, in the caption of her final maternity photos. “Females are the only being chosen by the creator to be the portal between the spiritual realm and the physical realm,” she wrote. “The only force on Earth powerful enough to navigate unborn spirits onto this planet. Art.”

Vanessa originally announced her pregnancy in July. She shared the news on Instagram with a couple of clips and photos from her gender reveal, which confirmed the actress is expecting a baby boy. However, only a few days later, the news broke that the star’s husband Chicago White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech, 24, had filed for divorce. He reportedly filed the paperwork in June, before her pregnancy reveal, though the former couple have declined to comment on the surprise split. They were previously married in January of this year.

Vanessa has continued to film for Riverdale despite her pregnancy. Earlier this month, BabyGaga reported on how Vanessa was feeling being back to set, claiming she’s more tired than ever now that she’s pregnant. Vanessa turned to her Instagram story to honor other mothers who work through pregnancy or with children at home. "All I know is growing a human makes me 10x more tired at work so just wanted to say each and every one of you are so friggen incredible and strong,” she wrote, sharing an image of herself in her Vancouver trailer.
