A baby feels the cooling power of an electric fan for the first time... and luckily, her father was quick with a camera in order to capture the cuteness of it all.
There's nothing quite like watching a baby experience the simple joys that life provides for the very first time. As adults, we can too easily take these lovely items for granted. Babies remind us that seemingly everyday objects such as electric fans are actually pretty amazing household belongings. No kidding!
When you think about it, a smallish sized box that plugs into an outlet and through the power of electricity provides a climate-controlled environment is a very wonderful invention. Recently, a baby girl named Teagan found this out for the very first time on a hot Florida summer day.
According to Time, Spencer Fitch and his 3-month-old daughter were just hanging out together when suddenly Teagan noticed the fan blowing near her and looked puzzled. Then, a myriad of emotions played out on the tot's adorable face. Being a clever father, Fitch knew that this was his cue to fire up the video function on his cell phone.
“I personally feel that it takes the audience back to a time where everything felt new and exciting," Fitch told Time about the video. "This is quite evident in Teagan’s facial expression! She is very excitable.”
Fitch posted the sweet video to Facebook at first with the caption, "Teagan experiencing a fan for the first time hahah." The video went viral almost overnight, being shared and liked at as quickly and steadily as the blades working on the fan that delighted darling Teagan so much. And can you blame the many, many people who helped this video gain viral status? Who could resist sharing something as cute and hilarious as Teagan's reaction?
We hope that Fitch continues to keep up with documenting his daughter's first experiences so that us jaded adults can be reminded to stop and smell the roses... or stop and feel the gentle wind generated by an electric fan.
What do you think of baby Teagan's reaction to the little wind machine? Are you a "fan" of this viral video? What is your favourite first for babies to react to... lemons? Elmo? Let us know in the comments!
