Life has certainly changed for Whitney Port and her former co-stars from MTV’s hit reality television show, The Hills. And now that the series has gotten a reboot, the celebrity mom is opening up about the perks of filming the show even though her life is drastically different, compared to what it used to be. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Port says that one of the best things about the reboot is that many of her other co-stars are mothers too, which means that she can share her experiences or commiserate with them about the ups and downs of motherhood. Not only that, but the mother-of-one says that they have been having a great time sharing pictures and talking to each other about their kids, which is something they haven’t been able to do in the past.
Some of the other co-stars who have become moms include Ashley Walker, Audrina Patridge, and Heidi Pratt. MTV announced that they would be bringing to life The Hills: New Beginnings for two seasons. The first season premiered in July to solid ratings. Some of the other original cast members include Spencer Pratt, Brody Jenner, and Justin Brescia.

I spend a lot of time criticizing myself but Timmy took this picture and I liked the way I looked. It reminded me not to be so hard on myself. Everyone take note of the negative things you tell yourself and try to put those away for the weekend. Enjoy YOU and the beautiful things that make you YOU because there are plenty. Be kind to yourself. We all have to be our own best friends. ❤️
And while there’s no doubt going to be a lot of drama for the second season, Port says that she’s fully focused on raising her son Sonny, who she welcomed with her husband Tim Rosenbaum back in July of 2017. Port says while they do often think about giving little Sonny a sibling to play with in the future, the time just hasn’t been right for them right now.
“There’s never really the perfect time for someone that’s really passionate about a career, you know?” she told the publication in an interview, adding, “It’s hard. … I’m hoping one day I’ll wake up and be like, okay, I’m ready, so I don’t have to be torn about it.”
For now Port is just trying to juggle her life as a working mom while also raising her son and of course, filming The Hills. While it might look like she’s got her life in order, Port says that it isn’t always easy, mostly because Sonny has become a very curious and energetic toddler. She said, “Sonny is almost two, and he’s a curious little boy, and he’s running around. And it seems every couple days, he has a new little boo-boo.”
