'Dancing With The Stars' alum Witney Carson played it safe this month when she hosted her baby shower. Carson is expecting her first child with her husband Carson McAllister The couple announced the pregnancy in July, and are expecting a baby boy, who is due in January 2021.

Among the pandemic chaos, pregnant mothers are trying their best to keep a delicate balance between celebrating their bundle of joy while also remaining safe from the virus. This was particularly true for dancing beauty Carson, who came very close to completely calling off her baby shower. According to PEOPLE, the 27-year-old recalled that she felt that pulling off the celebration for her unborn son "wouldn't be possible." However, with the flexibility from family and friends, and also the help from planning coordinator Sherri Steele, Carson and her crew figured out a safe way to have a baby shower, with Carson calling it "magical."

"I didn't think it would be possible with a pandemic and we almost canceled it altogether, but we figured out a safe way to celebrate still. It was so magical!" Carson gushed to PEOPLE. The celebration was held at Knot & Pine in Alpine, Utah. Carson looked simply magical in a long, flowy maternity dress and brown booties.  According to the mommy-to-be's Instagram, the celebration was celebrated "drive-by" style, with guests getting to still enjoy refreshments like apple-cinnamon sparkling drinks and sugary treats. The decorations consisted of an array of beautiful floral arrangements with an "OH BABY" sign.
