New Jersey woman was all by herself when she went into labor. She delivered her child all alone.
Melissa Dawson was 9 months pregnant when she began feeling contractions. She said that everything happened so quickly that she didn't even have enough time to call 9-1-1 for assistance. She said that she didn't call for emergency personnel until after she was holding her baby.

On Thursday night, Melissa said that she started feeling contractions. The contractions came at full force and they were so intense. She was all alone in her home and quickly called her husband. She asked him where he was and he said that he was in Orange county "dropping their two year old Savannah off." (Melissa was not specific as to where Savannah was going). Melissa yelled at her husband on the phone, because she said she had no time for him to get back. She said that she could feel the baby coming "now" and her body was about to give birth. While still on the phone with her husband she pushed out her daughter. She delivered her own daughter right into her hands. The Dawson's nanny cam caught the entire thing on camera.
Melissa called 9-1-1 and they immediately came there shortly after the birth of Melissa's daughter. Due to Melissa's situation she could not answer the door and they had to kick down the door. Melissa said that she believes that she was only in labor for about 90 seconds before the baby arrived. Melissa had no chance to prepare for the labor and even if her husband had been home she knows that they would still not be able to make it to the hospital in time. The first responders apologized to Melissa's husband about the door when he arrived on scene.
Melissa was in complete shock that she went into labor so quickly and that her daughter was born so fast. With her first child she was in labor for 43 hours before Savannah arrived, so the fact that their new daughter was here in minutes was beyond a surprise. Melissa and her husband named their new daughter Bria Belle. Her name means strong and beautiful. The mother and daughter were transported to the hospital shortly after and they are both perfectly healthy. Congratulations to the Dawson family on the new beautiful addition.
