Being A Young Mom Is The Best (Let Me Tell You Why)

I am a young mom and it is the absolute best! I am not here to start trouble and I am not here to make older moms mad or offended. I am just saying that being a young mom has really been the best for me and my family! My husband and I have also been extremely fortunate that we have been able to get pregnant on our time table. We are very lucky that we never had to suffer from infertility.

I became pregnant with my first child when I was 22 years old and I gave birth to him when I was 23 years old. We have had kids back to back and we ended up having four kids in five years. We are now done having children so I will never have to be pregnant again and I am not even 30 yet. I have loved being a younger mom. It is amazing! I have never been 40 years old before but I would assume that I have a lot more energy in my 20's than I will in my 40's! Whenever my mom watches my children for a long time she says, "I have no idea how I raised three kids. There is a reason you have kids when you are younger!"

Becoming a mom was a difficult transition, but it would have been much more difficult if I would have lived a longer adult life without them. I don't really know what it is like to be a single adult with a real job living on my own. I went straight from high school to college and then got married at 22 years old. I was only an adult on my own for a little less than 3 years. During those three years, I was living in a small college town taking a million credits. I didn't really have a life set up without kids so I didn't have to change things a lot. I only remember adult life with children.

I love being a young mom. I love knowing that I am not going to have toddlers forever. I love knowing that by the time that I am 40, my youngest will already be 11 years old. I love knowing that we will be young grandparents. Yes, I am already looking forward to being a grandparent. I know a lot of parents who are having children in their late 30's and early 40's and that is perfectly wonderful! No hate on those parents. They are equally amazing! I am just saying that I am glad that I get to be a young mom and get to be a young grandparent.

My mom is 52 years old and is already a grandma to six grandchildren! That is so much fun! She had my brother when she was 21 years old and then I was a young mom so then she gets to be a young grandma. I love that! I love that my mom has a lot of energy to take care of my little ones. The only thing that really stinks about her being so young is that neither of my parents are retired! I keep telling my mom that she should just retire and hang out with me all the time, but then she says, "do you offer health insurance?" How rude! Just kidding mom, I love you! My mom and dad have full-time jobs, are really involved in their church, volunteer their time helping a little old woman and still give us regular date nights! They are amazing! And that is why I am happy to be a young mom. As long as I pass away due to age, my children will probably be in their 80's when I die! My kids have a better chance of having their mother for more of their life!

I seriously love being a young mom! Having kids young and so close together is crazy but I would never ever change it at all!
